About Starlight Danes
Starlight Danes is a small, in-home-based breeding program located in Michigan. We are dedicated to breeding and raising quality, purebred Great Danes with the attributes we all know and love in the breed. Our journey began in 2015 and our experiences have allowed us to take pride in our breeding methods and philosophy. Our mission is to find loving homes for our puppies and ensure they receive the best care and attention they deserve. The humans behind the canines
Our beloved kennel name, Starlight Danes, came to be just after our firstborn, Stella, arrived in 2015. We loved to play for her Ella Fitzgerald's rendition of the song 'Stella by Starlight'. This tradition ignited a love for the song name and the idea to dedicate our kennel namesake to Stella, who has coincidentally turned out to be an animal lover and whisperer for the ages.
Since then, we have welcomed four more children to our family: Dean, Beau, Sylvia, and Crue. To say our hearts and lives are full would be an understatement.
While we have been growing our family, we have also been building our program. We started with a merle mantle girl, Remi, who is now 9 years old and still being as mischievous and loving as ever here with us. She was our first Dane and truly started our love for the breed. We now have pups of all colors and backgrounds and couldn't imagine our home looking any differently.
